Did you know over 25,000 people sleep rough in Sydney each night? While some find a couch for the night, many are left in the cold, unsure where they’ll sleep next. On a recent walk downtown, I saw people lying on cold pavement outside luxury stores - where handbags cost more than many earn in a month. It’s a stark reminder of the growing divide.

But there’s something simple we can do to help: provide a hot meal. Many go without one every day. For nearly 50 years, Caring for Life has served free, nutritious meals to those in need across Sydney. In 2025, our work continues - with the Food Van in Newtown, outreach in King’s Cross, and partnerships with Hope Church, the Salvation Army, and St. Vincent de Paul. Together, we help ensure no one in our community goes hungry.
